About Qinling
The Qinling Mountains are a geographical boundary between the north and south of China, located in central China and spanning across Shaanxi, Gansu, Henan, and other regions. They are the watershed of the Yangtze and Yellow River basins. The Qinling Mountains are not only the natural geographical boundary between southern and northern China, but also the dividing line between climate and resource differences.
Plants in Qinling
The Qinling Mountains are one of the hotspots of biodiversity in China and home to many ancient and relict species. There are over 3800 species of seed plants here, many of which are unique to China. Among them, monocotyledonous grass, yew, and Taibai redwood are all nationally protected key plants.
Animals in Qinling
The Qinling Mountains have a rich variety of animal species, among which the four most famous rare animals are known as the "Four Treasures of Qinling Mountains", namely the Crested Ibis, Giant Panda, Golden Monkey, and Takin. These four animals not only live in the Qinling Mountains, but are also known as symbols of the Qinling Mountains due to their rarity and importance.
Protecting Qinling
Due to the development of tourism and real estate industries around Qinling Mountains, it has caused a certain degree of damage to the ecological environment of Qinling Mountains. The discharge of household waste, construction waste, and sewage is the main cause of environmental damage. We call on people living around the Qinling Mountains and urge all humanity to pay attention to the ecological protection of the Qinling Mountains together.
